Take a Trip: From Dellrose to San Antonio and Everything in Between

As the weather starts to warm up, you may have already started planning this summer’s big trips. With endless things to see and do in Texas, it can be hard to narrow down everything you want to experience, so we’ve done all the planning for you. We’ve built out a fun road trip consisting of a few of the best pit stops from Dellrose to San Antonio, with 4.5 hours of driving time stretching across 200-miles. Carve out a weekend and grab your friends or family to cruise with you along the way. 

Stop 1: Lucky Land

Take a trip back in time and visit some of the most culturally and historically significant monuments from China right here in Texas. Lucky Land is filled with surprises around every corner, so be sure to give yourself enough time to explore every inch of the grounds.   

 

Stop 2: The Garden Company

217 Kessler Ave, Schulenburg, TX

Stop by this charming and quaint cafe where you can grab a bite to eat while shopping for plants and outdoor accessories. This small cafe doubles as a full nursery, allowing you to shop for small plants and trees while sipping on your favorite beverage.

 

Stop 3: Spoetzl Brewery

603 E Brewery St, Shiner, TX

Founded in 1909, the Spoetzl Brewery is no longer the tin shed it once was back in the day. This historic, state-of-the-art brew house now offers tours and Shiner beer tastings almost every day of the week in the small town of Shiner, Texas.

 

Stop 4: Palmetto State Park

78 Park Rd 11 S, Gonzales, TX

Experience a piece of the tropics in Gonzales County at Palmetto State Park — a lush natural paradise and home to a variety of plants and wildlife. Take a dip in the flowing river, where you can swim, fish and canoe, or embark on a hike where you can get a closer look at the green environment.

 

Spot 5: Animal World and Snake Farm Zoo

Experience wildlife like you never have before at the Animal World and Snake Farm Zoo in New Braunfels. Home to one of the most diverse collections of snakes in the country, you can catch a glimpse of the many different exotic animals they exhibit, like the binturong, white-cheeked gibbon and black mamba.

 

Spot 6: Natural Bridge Caverns

At Natural Bridge Caverns, explore the depths of natural limestone caves, or mine for gems, fossils and other treasures at their fully operational mining company. This destination is perfect for the adventurist at heart, offering you a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won’t ever forget.
