Earlier this year, we announced the launch of our Yard of the Month program at Dellrose which recognizes homeowners for maintaining their property and adding to the overall appeal of the community. Over the summer months, we have seen a variety of displays from our homeowners and are now proud to announce our winners from July and August. Take a peek at their beautifully-manicured lawns below and learn how you can become our next Yard of the Month winner.
Congratulations are in order for Gary and Doris — our very first Yard of the Month winners who were recognized for their landscaping and lawn maintenance in the month of July. Their beautiful yard on Little Garden Court has fresh flowers planted, manicured shrubbery, and bright green grass that they take pride in maintaining.
William and Shari were the winners of Dellrose’s Yard of the Month this August. Their lawn is filled with colorful flowers, brightening up their entire street of Chester Valley, and their freshly mowed grass looks immaculate. Join us in congratulating them on the recognition of their beautiful yard.
Interested in winning the next Yard of the Month? Well, our decorative awards for the months of October and December are coming up. Learn more below about what’s involved and how you can start preparing your home.
Yard of the Month candidates for decorative awards are judged solely on the exterior appearance of their property as viewed from the street. General maintenance and upkeep of the yard and home is included in the judging. Overall appearance, tastefulness, creativity, decorating in the “spirit of the holiday”, and a visually appealing façade are considered.
October: The Yard of the Month award for October will be judged on the house with the best Halloween decorations. Spooks, goblins, black cats and pumpkins are all in order, and lights and animation are a plus. Judging will take place during the 3rd week of October.
December: The Yard of the Month award for December will be judged on the house with the best Christmas decorations. Theme, creativity and originality in ornamental lighting and decorations will be considered, as will daylight and evening display. Judging will take place during the 2nd week of December.
