A Taste of Dellrose Serves Up Fun

The snowballs were cold and the music was hot as we served up A Taste of Dellrose to more than 200 guests on May 4.

Our summer kickoff allowed residents and the public to mingle while enjoying some of Houston’s best food trucks and family fun at the Dellrose Clubhouse, 17312 Springfield Meadow Drive.

We loved watching families don hats, masks and props to take pictures in our classic VW van photo booth. Kids took advantage of our bouncy castle and inflatable slide.

Chalk artist Evan Harrison was on hand to beautify our sidewalks and teach kids the finer points of chalk art.

Houston cover band Nervous Rex kept everyone rocking with their energetic mix of music, including rock, 80’s, pop, dance, reggae, country and more. Face painters and a craft tent where kids and adults could paint kindness rocks and make friendship bracelets were a hit with everyone.

We covered the tab on food for our hungry guests who got to choose from authentic Louisiana Creole food served up by Krazy Creole, Japanese food prepared by the hibachi chefs of Dojo Hibachi or burgers and wraps from Skye Café. Dessert was sweet treats created by Cheri’s Nawlins Sneaux Balls.

Many of our guests loved the taste so much, they met with our builders to take the first step toward becoming neighbors with the residents they met.

Missed this awesome salute to friendships, family and food? Don’t worry, we have more public events planned. You also can come out to Hockley to tour our beautiful model homes and get a taste of Dellrose any time!
