On Sunday, December 11, we hosted our annual Snow Day at Dellrose and it was a huge success with over 700 people in attendance. Kids participated in dancing contests, parents took part in snowball fights with their children, and families tubed down our 30’ foot snow hill. Families also had a chance to take photos with Santa and meet Buddy the Elf.
When it came to food to fuel the fun, those in attendance were spoiled for choice. In addition to savoury treats and decadent desserts being offered by on-site food trucks, Juanita’s Mexican Restaurant sold homemade tamales and fresh margaritas, leaving homeowners’ taste buds tingling. And in addition to these delicious offerings, we had 30+ local vendors participate in our holiday market selling all kinds of goodies. Sweet breads, wreaths, customized toys, candles, jewelry, home goods, ornaments — you name it, they had it.
But that’s not all — people also had a chance to participate in our annual Gingerbread competition and let us tell you, this year did not disappoint. We awarded three winners after judging the various festive displays. Do you have a favorite? Find out by taking a look at the photographs of each one below:
For those who couldn’t make it out to this year’s Snow Day at Dellrose, not to worry — there’s always something going on in the community. Keep an eye out for our lineup of events coming next year.
